Mercury-containing Items

Recycling centers that accept: Mercury-containing Items

Mercury is extremely harmful. Just a small amount can cause damage to the central nervous system.
Any item that contains it should be handled with great care.
Use an alternative to mercury thermostats, such as digital, ear scan, or alcohol thermostats. Try to buy solar products, such as calculators, that do not require batteries.
Recycle your mercury-containing compact florescent bulbs and thermostats. See the Recycling Directory for locations.
