In Gwinnett County, the annual tradition of Christmas tree recycling began in 1984. For years, Gwinnett has lead the state in recycling more trees than any other county.
As the tree-cycling tradition continues, Gwinnett County homeowners and residents are encouraged to recycle their Christmas trees. Not only are they helping the community by recycling, but they are also helping the environment by the trees being turned into mulch which will be used in Gwinnett County parks.
Between December 26th and January 24th, you can drop off your Christmas tree at designated Gwinnett County Fire Stations. Trees must be free of lights, tinsel, decorations and tree stands in order to be tree-cycled. Please click here for a list of locations in Gwinnett.
We need volunteers! If you’d like to help us on January 29th at Bethesda Park, registration begins mid-December.
