Nationally-recognized and environmentally-focused Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful is proud to carry on a tradition that dates back to 2000. Over the course of the last decade and a half, our community-led organization has established and hosted a series of Environmental Addresses – each serving as an opportunity for the state’s highest ranking official to speak about the environment and its effect on the health, well-being and economic viability of Georgia and its citizens.
On March 6, 2014, Governor Nathan Deal was the featured speaker at Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful’s 8th Environmental Address. During his time at the podium, the 82nd Governor for the state of Georgia spoke about the importance of environmental stewardship to job creation and the local economy before a crowd that included more than 1000 business, community and youth leaders from Gwinnett County and beyond – marking the event’s largest audience on record.
