Recycling centers that accept: Wood Polishes and Waxes
Wood polishes and waxes contain harmful chemicals and cannot be recycled. They should not be poured down drains, inside or outside, or on the ground as it can cause contamination.
Try using polishes made with mineral or citrus oil that are less harmful to the environment.
If you cannot use up the polish or wax yourself, try giving to to a friend, neighbor, or custodial staff.
Wood polishes must be solidified. To solidify, mix the cleaner with an absorbent material such as litter, sawdust, or shredded newspaper in a plastic until all the fluid is absorbed, then throw out with your household garbage.
Triple rinse the container, solidifying the rinse water with the polish, and recycle it. See the recycling directory for that material.
