Recycling centers that accept: Pool Chemicals
Pool chemicals contain harmful chemicals and are not recyclable. They should not be poured down inside or outside drains or on the ground as it can cause contamination. Pool chemicals SHOULD NOT be mixed with petroleum products.
Solidified pool chemicals may be placed with your household garbage. To solidify, mix the chemicals with an absorbent material such as sawdust or shredded newspaper (cat litter should NOT be used to solidify pool chemicals) to absorb all liquids and allow the mixture to harden.
If the chemicals are in a liquid form, you can contact your local sanitary sewer system to determine if they are acceptable onsite to be used in their wastewater treatment plant operations.
