Recycling centers that accept: Drain Openers
Drain openers contain powerful chemicals and cannot be recycled. They should not be poured down outside drains or on the ground as it can cause contamination. Do not combine with other drain openers or baking soda as it can cause a violent reaction.
If you cannot use up the drain opener yourself, try giving to to a friend, neighbor, or custodial staff.
Drain openers may be slowly poured down the drain with large amounts of additional water.
The empty container should be triple rinsed (can also put rinse water down the drain) and recycled. See the “plastic bottles” locations.
