Recycling centers that accept: Abrasive Cleaners
Abrasive or powder cleaners contain harmful chemicals and cannot be recycled.
Repurpose the cleaner and give it to a friend, neighbor, or member of a nearby custodial staff.
If the cleaner cannot be used up or given away, then read the manufacturer’s label for proper disposal.
Under state law, abrasive cleaners can be legally disposed of in a landfill .
They can also be poured slowly down an inside drain, with a large amount of additional water.
The empty, rinsed container may be recyclable. See the recycling directory for how to recycle that container.
In the future, try to purchase more environmentally friendly cleaners.
