Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Seeking 2018 Environmental Address Sponsors

Local Eco-Focused Nonprofit to Host 12th Address at Infinite Energy Center August 30, featuring Governor Nathan Deal as the Headliner and Gwinnett’s Bicentennial Commemoration as Theme

Lawrenceville, Ga. – June 19, 2018 (Press Release) – With major annual events like Great American Cleanup and Great Gwinnett Wetlands behind them, the folks at Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful (GCB) shift their sights to one of their biggest and most visible events of the year – the Governor’s Environmental Address. Marking its 12th occurrence in the eco-focused nonprofit’s 38-year history, the Governor’s Environmental Address was combined with GCB’s Environmental Consciousness and Stewardship Awards last year for the first time – making it an even more comprehensive and impactful event. This year, Governor Nathan Deal will be headlining the Environmental Address for his fifth and final time before he passes the torch on to a new Georgia Governor in January 2019. Hosted at Infinite Energy Forum’s Grand Ballroom on August 30 from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m., the 2018 Environmental Address is currently in need of sponsors.

“Primerica and Metro Green Recycling were the first to sign on as sponsors for this year’s Environmental Address and we are incredibly grateful for their unswerving support of our efforts – particularly Primerica, which will be this year’s Presenting Sponsor,” said Schelly Marlatt, Executive Director of Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. “We are looking to add even more sponsors in the weeks to come in order to make this year’s event the best to date. After all, this will be the last time Governor Deal will deliver the address. We are so indebted to him for the gifts of his time and insights during the last four addresses. I know this year, he will deliver his best speech about the state of Georgia’s environment and its impact on the economy – particularly right here in Gwinnett – before an audience of more than 1000 community and business leaders. On top of that, we plan to incorporate Gwinnett’s Bicentennial Commemoration throughout the event. It’s going to be a very special afternoon, and we hope to welcome back some of our tried-and-true sponsors while adding a few new company names to our growing list of supporters.”
