Great American Cleanup Results

Thank you to the 15,000 Great American Cleanup participants, who aided in 247 projects to make our neighborhoods and community greener, cleaner and more beautiful.

In just 60 days we…
• Cleaned and beautified 195 miles of roadway
• Removed 20,741 pounds of litter
• Removed 60,000 pounds of trash and debris from an illegal dumpsite
• Painted 5,280 feet of fencing
• Created Gwinnett’s first Victory Garden to honor our veterans
• Planted 3 community gardens
• Collected over 1,000,000 pounds of recyclables – enough to fill a convoy of recycling trucks stretching from the Gwinnett Arena to Discover Mills.

What a difference we can make when we all work together! Stay tuned for details on what you can do to better our community in the 2013 Great American Clean-up Challenge.
