Now that 2016 is in full-swing and the weather’s becoming nice enough to motivate a new group of volunteer’s for Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful’s Adopt-a-Road program, we thought this was the ideal time to honor our 2015 Adopt-a-Road volunteers for their service while looking ahead to the future – which is certainly BRIGHT!!
Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful has recognized the following Adopt-a-Road groups, businesses and individuals for two distinct levels of service. Certificate of Excellence recipients are Adopt-a-Road partners that went above and beyond the call of duty to help keep our community clean and beautiful, and Certificate of Recognition recipients are Adopt-a-Road partners that did really great work within our community – particularly along their adopted stretch of road.

As we look to building our Adopt-a-Road partnerships for 2016, we’re ready to kick the campaign off in STYLE thanks to the Gwinnett Department of Transportation for their awesome update to the program – which will undoubtedly make quite a fashion statement. The Adopt-a-Road program received a “makeover” that includes new neon yellow safety vests that will make volunteers more visible to drivers. Additional measures include latex gloves to protect the hands of our volunteers and new safety signs that read “Volunteers at Work” to alert drivers slow down and be watchful of our wonderful Adopt-a-Road partners. Thank you, Gwinnett DOT!!
If you, your family, your neighborhood HOA, church group, business, civic group or other organization would like to become a Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Adopt-a-Road partner – which includes the loan of the snazzy outfit described above during cleanups and placement of two signs bearing your family/group/company’s name along your adopted stretch of road – please visit the Adopt-a-Road page on the GCB website.
